The birth of the “Piselli Balzano Gallery” dates back to 1967, when Mirella Piselli founded an entirely focused on trade and sale of works of art antiques: Mirella Piselli Gallery.
During the early years of the Gallery are mainly high Renaissance majolica and vintage furniture. In the early 80’s interest Mirella Pisellie moved on ancient textiles, which he presented a preview, with an exhibition dedicated to the strips of the ‘400 Florentine figured, Antiques Biennale in Florence (Palazzo Strozzi) 1981.
The special attention to fabrics, antique Piselli Balzano has made one of the few art dealers and antique European specialists in this field. Since 1993, Mirella Piselli has been replaced by his son Paolo Balzano that continues the work of the mother with the same passion and professionalism while maintaining a particular interest in search of ancient textiles.
